Three days after my 18th birthday in December 2015 I was approved for the Discover It credit card with a $1,500 limit. It is unsecured and I do not have a co-signer!
My circumstances are that I live at home (and am not yet attending college) with my parents, have $0 in expenses, own & operate my own business, and take home around $3,000 per month.
I submitted an application with the above information (and also offered evidence to prove what I was claiming is true) .. and got accepted two days after.
Is this common, uncommon, and/or did I just get lucky? Or did I get accepted because of my circumstances? Want to hear the opinions of other members here because I get a lot of mixed opinions from my friends and other adults.
