I have a big purchase coming up, as well as two cards with balances. Decided to finally apply. Scores are all about 700-710, AAOA roughly 4 years, between 6-9 inq all around. Utilization under 10%.
Chase Slate- Approved for $3200! I'm psyched because it's just what I needed for BT. My FIRST Chase card, and I've had more than 5/24, but I get a zillion mail offers from them, so bit the bullet. I'm shocked it was approved. Excited that it'll open more Chase doors for me in the future.
Chase Freedom- Figured now was as good a time as any to go for 2nd Chase, and hope for only one pull. Pending for now, with 7-10 day message (which I believe is bad). Oh well
BOA BankAmericard- Approved for $2000. I'm okay with it i guess. Most of my cards are 3-5k, Discover 7k. And it's not a great card, but it's good for my balance transfer I need to do. 0% for 18 months, 17.24 APR after. First BOA card. I have enough rewards cards so this is okay for right now.
Paypay Credit (Comenity/BML), Approved for $2750! I'm super happy with the starting limit, as I expected a lot lower, and this will be the card I use for my large purchase, as it's hidden. Expected like 400 lol.
I'm happy with my choices, even though they're probably not exciting to ya'll. I needed a 0% card to pay off a balance, and got two, both of which I will use. Then I plan on closing a couple of my older cards later this year.
I thought about apping for a Citi card (Double cash or Hilton) as I get a million mailers from them too, and would use both, but decided against it for now. I find it funny that I'm excited about these "boring" cards, as I used to want every reward card out there. But it's all about what works for me right now. I am planning a Venture app, but cannot meet the spend yet, so I'm gonna wait until we go on vacation later this year. I've been sitting on that prequal for wayy too long!
Have a great day!
