Hello MyFICO Family,
I went ahead last night and applied for the Chase Amazon Visa and was approved for $6,000 SL. Not a great SL, but not bad either from what I've read on here. I mainly apped for this card to get the $80 instant credit for an upcoming purchase on Amazon.
The funny thing is when I applied, it kept spinning (longer than normal) and gave me the dreaded 30 day message. So I immediately called the backdooor number and the rep told me she had nothing on me at all and to reapply. So I waited an hour and called back and another rep told me the same thing. So I said to myself, it's a sign - I don't need it.
Then this morning I had an email alert stating "Congrats on your new Chase Amazon Signature Visa with a SL of 6k". So be carefule if this happens to you. Wait until the next day before trying to apply again. I'm not sure which bureau they pulled as of yet due to not receiving an alert at this point.
I went on Amazon.com this morning and my $80 gift card is already there and ready to use. Hopefully this will help someone thinking of applying.
P.S. - Do not apply directly through Chase as they are only offering a $50 gift card. Sign in to your Amazon account and apply through their site for the $80 gift card.
Best of luck to all who apply!
