I walked in Sam's Club two days ago to apply for membership, and was told I was pre-approved for $1000 MC. Actually, another clerk walked by the one dealing with my app, and said "There it is!" pointing at the screen. She seemed more excited than I was. I excepted, and went through the long ridiculous process in store.
The lady over the phone then changed it and said it was $900. ??? Really? You really dropped off $100? I already knew what I was going to do. So after the approval, we took a stroll around the store to check out what they had, while I called Recon.
Long story short, increased to $5K. All is well, and we left after making a $100 purchase to use the 40% off voucher. lol I'm sure I left money on the table because I asked for $5K and she gave it to me.
