Today I was bored for a little bit and just applied for a CLI with Amex BCE. I know I was able to ask for one right away, but I waited nearly two months anyway. I was waiting to get use to the card and do some Amex offers and get a free FICO, sadly no FICO yet. Okay here's some stats:
My current credit line is: $18,000 February 2nd, 2016.
My starting credit line was: $6,000 November 17th, 2015.
First CLI: February 2nd, 2016. $6,000 --> $18,000.
CLI was soft pull.
Spent $1,000+ and Paid in full every month, except last month. I let $540 cut last month which is 9% of $6,000. I did this because I thought it might help my free FICO show up faster, but it didn't work.
Some may know that I went from 1k to 13k with Discover IT in 6 months and that was amazing. Discover card is great, but I have to show some due respect to American Express.
I respect you Amex, thank you very much.
You have to understand when I first got the card, I met the $1,000 spend on the first day. And I paid down $250 on the third day, then they had the balls 
to pay me my $250 bonus that same day. That is very fast and really cleared up any doubts I was having about Amex. Today I was at 6K and I only requested 18k to see what they might counter offer me. Surprise!!! No counter offer for me, just a straight instant approval.
I mean this is pretty crazy, I only got my first credit card December 17th, 2014 (13 and a half months ago) and it was a $500 limit (Chase Freedom). I said it before and i'll say it again, look at the difference a year can make.

Sadly though, this is probably my last main post in approvals until July 2016 (Nothing left to CLI). That's when my Discover double cash back ends and I will be instantly approved for the CITI double cash world elite master card positive thinking.
