I was recently denied CLI's on 2 of my citi cards (TYp limit $1000, denied last month, & new pc Douable Cash $600, also denied last month at time of PC & shortly after)
Only tried CLI online, where no hard pull would be performed.
Its been a few weeks,Ive been having some issues with available credit and my citi cards lately. Simply put, I made some canceled/returned 2 purchases (one on TYp, 2nd on Double Cash). The purchase on the double cash was about $300 which is about half of the limit. On the TYp there was about $150 in a refund that hadn't posted.
I've been on the phone with CitiCard's customer support for about 4 hours, confrence calling the merchants, trying to get this resolved, etc. After contacting @askciti on twitter, I was contacted by a member of their "Social media support team". We got the charge on the double cash card taken care of, but I declined the resolution. Long story short, I mentioned to the rep that my cards that maybe a CLI would have solved my issue because my issue on both cards was available credit. I made sure to mention that I had already unsuccessfully tried. He looked into my accounts and saw that he could still try it without a credit check. I recieved CLI's on both the TYp & DoubleCash and now on all 3 of my cards am under 20% utilization.

Yep, even though one of the original issues issues i had didn't get resolved (because i declined the resolution), and i wasted about 4 hrs with a rep when I could of just took to twitter and got much better service from a "social media support" rep, It was worth it for the CLI's. From feb-mar my FAKO score went up about 30pts, now with total cc util down below 20% i'd imagine it'll go up even more.
