So, I CO an Amex gold card in 2008 and have been blacklisted since. Worked really hard to clean up credit and remove all collections. App'ed for Amex the past 2 years with score over 700 but was declined with no HP.
I received an offer from Platinum Delta SkyMIles card and decided to try again. I got approved for 20K and couldnt be happier. This was the last card I wanted to get and they backdated my Member Since date to 2004. I'm super excited.
