Hey everyone! A number of things have happened in the last few weeks so I wanted to sum it up rather than making a whole bunch of small posts.
Score wise, I had broke into the 660s for the first time ever last week. It was short lived though because my score dropped 14pts Saturday for some reason. *shrugs* Regardless, glad to see my score finally moving around. I have one more collection left now from the 8-9 I had this time last year.
Combined my Cap One Accounts (I'll update my sig soon). I now have a No Fee Quicksilver One with a $7,250 limit and 10.13 APR. I had got a $500 CLI on one card and $1000 CLI on the other before I combined them. I've been waiting to get my sister (who turns 21 tomorrow Woot Woot!) off my account as an Authorized User. She got her own Quicksilver last week so I was finally able to combine.
Got a $1000 CLI on my AmEx SPG today, so now it's up to $2000 (Tried 3x but they countered for 2x). I ran a good $4k-5k through it since I opened it in March. Today is the 62nd day.
My Wife got a CLI on her AmEx SPG. It's not in my sig at the moment (I'll update it), but it went from $10k to $20k. She'll close that and combine the CL into the BCP after the accounts been opened for 12/13months. She also got approved for the BCP last week with a starting limit of $12.5k. I'm authorized user on both these accounts.
I now have an AmEx Platinum as of last week. Should be easy to get the spend bonus. Considering I have several vacations approaching. I can also use it to pay my rent. It's a few extra dollars for the fee, but the bonus will make up for it.
I closed my AmEx Everyday and Overstock Store Card today. I had 143 purchases on my AmEx Everyday. 132 of them were $0.89 Speedway coffee purchases. I didn't really use either card. The AmEx ED had a CL of $500 the whole time I had it. They let me in the door with FICOs in the 630s, so I'm thankful. Also add to the fact that my Capital One card is now technically closed since it's been combined.
That's about it. I used my SPG bonus and my wife's SPG bonus to reserve 5 nights in San Francisco this November for our 1 year anniversary and I used the Delta bonus to reserve the flight for free. So basically, the rental car and gas is all we are paying. Thanks to this site for teaching me the ways off the credit card and rewards.
I've come a long way from the 3 Cap One cards with a combined limit of $1500 I had Jan 1st, 2015 when I joined this site. Thanks for the help everyone. I'll be seeing y'all around the site
