Amex and Chase Southwest approved!

So.... the original plan was to wait till this summer to App for more cards, but after two very nice CLI's I was struggling to resist the urge to app... sooo today I applied for the Amex Everyday and was approved for $1000! also applied for the Delta Skymiles right after to see if I could pull off 2 cards with one HP. Delta went pending right away, which is normal so ill cross my fingers for approval! Now on to chase.. I knew the Southwest Premier was a little bit of a stretch, especailly since my Slate card is near its limit (taking advantage of BT offer). I applied anyway and recieved 7-10 day message, immediately called for a recon! they asked a TON of questions, income, rent, ect. and then told me it was declined. asked if there was any information on why and they said my current chase card had a balance too high... explained the situation and she said shed reconsider, put me on hold and came back saying im approved for $2000!! very very happy! Ill be doing lots of travel this summer and that 50,000 points offer will definetly sweeten the deal
