Like most top tier cards that are in my wallet now, I applied for the Discover IT card prematurely about a year ago when CK said my odds were fair. The familiar buzzer went off; middle finger came up on my screen, and I retreated to the sanctity of my lonely bedroom and staired hopelessly at my secured Cap One card with a 300 limit. My sense of longing for the better cards in life were a pipe dream. I read reviews of people who hit the credit jackpot with high 500s and by some strange cosmic stroke of luck got approved for one of the cards that we credit peons only fantasized about. It was going to take some work. I started paying things, old things that I had long forgotten about but someone somewhere was obviously keeping score. I made deals, not like the shady deals that got me into the mess to begin with. I watched my credit flower blossom. Credit nirvana was near, I could smell it late at night, could taste it in my morning bran, heard it in the laughter of children. And so I applied for the coveted Discover IT card yesterday morning. Must be something about the computer at the office where I work; I was approved for a modest 3k. I don't always waste time while I'm working, but when I do I'm usually applying for top tier cards and being approved. Stay thirsty my friends.
