I travel internationally 2-3 times per year, and nationally 1-2 times per year.
On my way home from work I was thinking bout the TSA Line problems and how I'm going to dread flying the next time I go. (Usually fly out of Boston Logan...) I was wondering which card(s) I could apply for that would give me "free" global entry and/or prescreening to get through the lines faster.
Lo and behold, I got home last night to find a big fat luxurious envelope with an invitation to apply for the AMEX Platinum Card with 50,000 bonus miles for $5k/3 months, and a bunch of benefits. There was also an invitiation code!
I applied, it went to pending, I was sad.
This is my first Amex Charge card in about 15 years, so I'm pretty stoked. I don't know the terms yet, but I just check the application status and went from Pending to Approved in the last couple of hours. I'm assuming they will send me an email of some sort.
One of these days, I will lock-down my reports again, as that seems to be the only way to stop me from apping for things I don't really need - like the PayPal Extras MC app from two days ago which netted me a whopping $800 PayPal Smart Connect account. I suppose the free 6-month financing could be helpful.
At least it was before the end of May, so that June 1, 2018 CSP app should still work out ok... maybe.
