First Call to Credit Solutions - Lowe's CLI Approved!

OK, I'm a bit slow compared to many on here, and until now I've resisted calling Credit Solutions.  I really don't like dealing with people on the phone unless I just have to, and my three Synchrony cards are sufficient for my spending at the moment.

That being said, I've recently got a 'bump' on my TU, and I know that when my new accounts from a few weeks ago start to report my score will take a dip for a few months.  Also, when I tried to get my four-month CLI on Lowe's a few days back for the first time I was told 'no' - and the denial was due to a credit report from February (per the letter) when my score was nearly 70 points lower.

So, armed with the CS number provided a few minutes ago from my friend JamP (and coasting on my earlier success with a Citi CSR) I decided to 'bite the bullet' and make the call... the worst they can do is say no, right?

I asked for my limit to be increased by $10k to a new credit line of $20k... after a few minutes the CSR returned and told me, "Approved!"

No more messing around with that janky "button"!  Smiley Very Happy

My account will be 12 years old next month, and today I "thank my lucky stars" I didn't close it out of frustration when they balance chased me back around 2006 (I was never late with Lowe's, but I was going through a job loss and other accounts were reporting as late at the time).

This is now both my oldest account, and my largest credit line.  Smiley Very Happy

Special shout-out to JamP for providing the CS number he used earlier for his increase on his Sam's Club MasterCard... after I get my own Sam's Club MC PIF next week I plan to call back and get that one 'bumped' to $20k as well!  Smiley Very Happy

Side note:  I asked for $20k and it was granted, so I know there's a chance I may have qualified for more.  That's OK, though... my income is modest compared to many on here, and with my resources I feel that going any higher than $20k would be pointless.
