I applied for the Amazon Store Card tonight and received instant approval for $1400. I already have another Synchrony card and they've been kind to me so I went for the store card instead of the Chase Amazon Visa (Chase is not so nice to me). I called to get a CLI immediately and the automated system denied it. So I requested to speak to a representative. Told her what I wanted and she approved it immediately .... $1400 ---> $5000. SCORE! I really wanted $10000 but since the automated system denied it, I didn't want to push that button again. Image may be NSFW.

Maybe I'll try again in a few months. I think I received a gift card but I'm not sure of the exact amount.
Now, I see here on the boards that there is a store card and a Prime store card. Is it easy to get the Prime card? How do you go about upgrading to the Prime?
