When I was a full time lurker on this site I really enjoyed reading about people's experiences when applying for cards. By comparing our credit score/history it helped me gauge if I was ready to apply for a specific card. So I just wanted to share my experience when I applied for the Lowes Card this morning.
My Scores:
TU: 701
Exp: 655
I was instantly approved with a $300 limit. I waited about 5 minutes and called Synchrony Bank directly (1-877-379-8173) and requested a $10,000 limit. I know people say to shoot high, but my current AAoA is only 1yr and my highest limit on other cards is $1000 - plus I didn't really need more than $2k. After putting me on hold for a few minutes the nice woman came back and said that she was able to approve me for $5,000! Very happy with that CL.
Anyway, just thought I'd share my stats/experience so others can figure out if this is a card for them. Thank you to everyone who always post
