As I have posted, cancelling Comenity cards going foward. Went a lil SCT crazy a few years ago and NOW have 23 closed cards in last year and a half. Countdown to none...
Too many horror stories on the forum here, so went aggressive to close em.
Was shopping for baton/flashlight/stun gun thingy for my daughter...she walks her dog late in sketchy neighborhood and soaking wet weighs 108 pounds. Her dog likes all and they are doing Pokemon craze.
Sportsman Guide had perfect "deterrent" on sale, grabbed my Venture and inputting card...YEP..annoying...a pop up keeps getting in way. Two years or more ago I would have jumped at the sacred "pop up at check out...AKA...SCT.
Snickering to self...reading here no more soft pulls for SCT Visas and MCs...I click accept for pre-approved. Probably saying to myself..."figure that out, all my boards are frozen Comenity." Ok...it says congrats...blah blah blah...I know better...those days are long over on Visa soft pull SCT. Close browser and go to my Cabelas instead for same item.
So today, open EQ and see 1 point loss for new account. No surprise, just got the Amex Preferred Blue...and to my utter dismany...no new Amex...I go through my EQ and there it is. STUNNED! Hurry and check soft and hard pulls....sure enough Sportsman Guide soft pulled and nothing else showing. Checked both EX and TU. No new hard pulls.
Joke on me...slapped with a true soft pull SCT from Comenity for the Sportman Guide Visa for a whopping 10K starting limit. Squinting...yep....counting the zeros...it was before 2 cups of coffee.
Its alive, its back and I am living proof! Soft pull 10K Visas from Comenity when I least wanted it on my profile. They slapped me with the last laught. Now I will use it every 4 months for two exact years.
Good Grief. Why Comenity? Why Now? I was down to one account with you all.
Get em while you can...will add screenshot of dashboard once I get darn card. Its reported already and I don't even have card yet. OMG
Data points 711 EQ...60+ hard pulls...ton of new accounts in last two years...go Sportsman Guide SCT ...I guess....sigh sigh
