So, after validating my membership with the Navy League San Diego, I finally get a Welcome Letter in my inbox from NFCU welcoming me aboard. 
These are the events (and unusual timeline) of last night.
351pm: Welcome email from NFCU
1048pm: Enrolled in Online Banking
1115pm: Apply for cashRewards Visa
1132pm: Email from NFCU saying application is under review (ugh) 
352am: APPROVED! NFCU cashRewards Visa for $2,900 / 16.9%
Approved in the middle of the night?!?
