So I'll be taking a trip to Europe and I decided now is as good a time as any to take advantage of those bonus miles offers I always get from United, so I bit the bullet and applied. FICO scores are decent but nothing to write home about (mid to high 600s across the board) and my utilization coud be lower, but I'm never late. So I applied a week ago and got the dreaded "pending" message and had to wait (I automatically feared the worst) and Sunday I got a call from the Chase fraud department asking me to verify some information and shazam! I was approved! ($5k CL, which is fine because I intend on using this card strictly for personal and business travel and just collect the miles).
Now my question is should I strike while the iron is hot and churn (I think it helped that I have an existing relationship and excellent history with Chase, I already have a Freedom card and I currently bank with them), or should I quit while I'm ahead? I was looking at applying for the Freedom Unlimited card, or should I just ask for a CLI on my existing Freedom card? Thoughts?
