Yesterday I got approved for a 5k cli on both my Promise and Defender cards. Attempted a PLOC and was instantly denied. Saw that Penfed used the same HP for all 3 applications so I decided this morning to go for the Cash Rewards, as it will compliment my BP Visa. BP gas tends to be a few cents higher for some reason. This card with its 5% cashback at the pump will give me options. I'll have to lay off Penfed for a while (2 months) because I was told to call in because they needed to verify that it was me who actually applied for this card. I did that and was told it would be wrapped up in one hour. Waited 3 hours and still pending. Called back in and had to go through more security questions to verify that it was me who applied. Waited on hold while loan officer reviewed app. Approved. Penfed is back in my good graces Image may be NSFW.
