First off I just want to give special thanks to Mia25 and dendom02 for the tips on getting around the 5/24 to app for this card.
Appied in January for CSP instanly denied scores according to them where in the high 500 range "what was I thinking" Then this April appied for the Chase freedom Unlimted as scores approched mid 600's got 7-10 message. Called in to find out what that was all about rep said denied again! So I moved on to bigger and brighter things like apping for more cards to help build up my portfolio & overall utilization all the while not knowing Chase was coming up with this 5/24 rule in which I though I would never have a chance to get in with them now. Fast forward to last week with CSR comes on the scene and many pre branch approval sucess. Went to my nearest branch to see if I was pre approved for the CSR and the banker said unfortunetly you have no offers but, that dose'nt mean your not pre approved for other products. As I sat there in that branch for 5 minutes debating on apping for something else risking a double hp, something told me to just get up and walk away from this the timing just isn't right. As much as I wanted a chase card and to get my foot in the door with them, this wasn't the best plan of action. So as I checked these boards often, I came across a post by Mia25 regarding using the same pull if denied for other Chase products on the Ritz Carleton or Hyatt cards which float under the 5/24 radar. As well as a thread started by dendom02 the other day explaining his sucess at apping for the Ritz getting the 30 day message and his card showed up in his account the very next day. So with all that ammunition behind me I decided to app in the wee hours of the morning and got the 7-10 day message. Not sure what to think I called the 1 800 robo lady for app status and she said I would have a decision in 2 weeks. So, got up this morning and decided to call app line again to see if status had changed and it didnt still says" decision will be mailed out within 2 weeks". Not liking the sound of those results I searched for chase recon phone numbers and called around 11 am but, the line just kept disconnecting for some odd reason. So I said okay, I will just let this thing ride itself out and be patient, I think the waiting is the most painful thing in this process but something in me wanted to try that robo lady one more last time lol! ...And I did. Entered my info and instead of her saying we have recieved your application and you will have a decision within 2 weeks, she comes back saying "YOUR APPROVED!!! with a starting limit of $13,000 I was just in a temp state of shock for that moment, even had to listen to the message 3 more times before I finally hung up lol! I am just so grateful to finally get in with chase. They where one of the big fishes I wanted to land before I hit the garden and now I can go gardening in peace.Image may be NSFW.
