I normally don't post approval threads, but I'd like to mention this:
I applied about 15 minutes ago, and I got the screen that says they needed more information before processing the application. I was a little disappointed but then told myself what the heck, I will wait out the 7-10 days.
Then within 1 minute literally, I got a call from Capital One. The gentleman was calling from the fraud department and wanted to verify that I indeed applied for the card, and then threw a few multiple choice security questions at me. After that, he was able to verify that I was approved for 15k SL on the Venture.
So, I guess basically what I wanted to say was that if you ever get a screen like that, you might want to be close to the phone that you input in your application. They might just call you for security reasons, and they will be able to tell you within a minute whether or not you are approved.
EDIT: The guy told me over the phone that I have 3 months from the date of card activation to meet my spending requirement for the sign-up bonus. I always thought that the clock starts ticking from the day you are approved for a card. Am I wrong in this assumption or is there something I don't know?
