I got the card back in August with a credit line of $1500. Not too impressive, but I was happy at the time to just be approve for the MasterCard version.
I tried the 'button' a couple of times, each time I got the familiar letter "not enough experience with current credit line" or something similar. Then in November (only a few days after my second attempt with the button) I got an auto-CLI to $4850.
Fast-forward a bit, and I tried the 'button' again in February... no love. I figured I might get another auto-CLI when my next statement generates on March 23 (will be four months since last auto-CLI), but my curiosity got the best of me, and I tried the button once again just now... new credit line, $8500. ($3650 increase).
I pay the account in full each month, usually $1100-$1200. Last month when I tried the 'button', it was with a balance showing; this month I tried a few days after making my payment - I don't know if this made a difference or not.
So far the four-month rule seems to hold up as with my other Synchrony cards (at least for me), but there seems to be a little leeway if you're close, or there was this time. I know I could make a quick call to CS and they would likely give me a nice boost, but I'm holding off for now. My TU should be completely 'clean' in May (I'm currently at 718) and after that I might make the call to get it increased "once and for all". For now, though, it gives me something to look forward to every four months or so. Image may be NSFW.
