I live in Ohio and already have a checking / savings with them, branch office within 5 minutes of my house. Decided the month of March is it far as new cards go until next year as I'll be applying for new mortgage late this year. At least that's what the boss (my wife) is telling me.

From what I have seen this is a pretty good starting limit with them. Pretty happy to get this approval with a local bank. Couple years ago they would have thrown me out the door laughing at me.
