My the other BoA card app in Jan didn't pass through since they thought I got enough Credit from them. Today, I talked to a CSR in the Chase Lending Dept, and got approved for the AARP card apped at the same time as the BoA one. A lot of address verification things were going on in the 2 months period. But the lending dept seems not very scary to call in
