BOA Cash Rewards Approval - Hmmm
So on my last app of my "spree" i decided to go for the boa cash rewards card and was totally expecting a denial. I have 9 recent inquiries on Experian and I mean recent.
App went to 7-10 day message per usual.
Just got a call about 10 minutes ago from a CSR asking me if it was me who applied and if I had recently applied for a bunch of credit cards lately haha...I shamelessly said yes and confirmed it was me.--- Hung up with her, went back to my computer and my email was RAGING with alerts about a pull on TU just now ( I AM SO PISSED I FORGET TO RELOCK MY TRANSUION). My transunion has 14 inquiries all within the past 6 months and about 6 in the past 30 days. I figured I was just instantly denied but that I would check the online app status just to humor myself.
Low and behold - Approved.
I do have a newly opened BOA checking account with not much in it. But my question is, will my card show up in my online account soon so I can see the SL, or will I have to call them and try to find out? Is there another way to find out my SL? I'm guessing it is like 500 SL heeh.
Now I really will be in the garden for a year or two!!!
Just thought I'd list my inquiries to give some people chuckle---

CLI success! Now over $100k total CL
My Lowe’s was at $500Limit4Lyfe until they upped me to $6K last month. I tried for $12k and they approved it! $500-$12k in less than 60 days? All Hail Vantage 4.0 (which is 60 points lower than my Fico8-go figure).
I’m debating trying again since I wonder if there’s more in the tank.
Lastly I tried Macy’s (was at $2,500). I requested $10k and in the most apologetic response ever, they said they could only bump me to $8,500.
TL; DR - Lowe’s went $6k-$12k, Macy’s went $2,500-$8,500.
My total CL now sits at $102,250.
A year ago I thought a $1,000 CL was big time and was ecstatic that I was approved for anything at all. $100k feels like a big milestone.
Navy federal APPROVED!
Cap 1 VentureOne Approved 14 Months Post-CH7 BK
Been on a pretty well disciplined rebuild over the past 14 months. I was thinking of doing a PC for my Cap 1 Secured Card to the Cap 1 Savior. I clicked the product change link and it automatically offered to change my Cap 1 QS 1 to a Cap 1 Venture 1. I decided to go ahead and apply for the Cap 1 Venture One this afternoon. Immediately got the 7-10 business day review message. Approximately 5 hours later, I received an email...
Approved $1000 SL
I am very happy for this card even with the low SL. The 15 month 0% APR offer is fantastic and I am hoping through heavy usage the limit will grow while the 0% APR period is still active.
My rebuild strategy is in my signature. A couple more data points- this is my 4th Cap 1 card I have been approved for in the past 12 months. I had 4 Cap 1 cards that were IIB. My current utilization is approximately $400 out of $12500 total available credit. I currently put approximately $3000 through my cap 1 cards each month, I carried a high balance over the summer but I did PIF the past 2 months.
I hope to see my scores in the 700s in the near future. This forum has been amazing for rebuilding advice. I am off to the garden for at least 6 months (with the exception of SP CLI's).

Just Got Approved for Capital One Walmart Store Card
$300.00 sl, whoopti doo! I can't be mad tho. I've always wanted a wm card since I shop there practically everyday, so it's a start. I've just been recently approved for the Quicksilver with a 7k sl and Target, $2500 sl. Cap 1 pulled all 3 for the wm card. My Fico Exp., 724, Trans., 666 and Equi,. 690. Vantage scores are TU 720 and Equifax 718. Until last month, util was always kept under 10%. Now, at 15%. Sure would like that Amazon card but Synchrony hates me so I'm just going to garden until next Sept. At that point I will be 2 years post bk. For the record, both Cap 1 and Target were included in my bk.
Just got approved for Discover!!!
Rebuilding: stay away from cards I've burned in the past?
I have burned capital 1 and synchrony in the past. 3+ years ago... on payment plans and almost done with both. (payment plans with collection agency and attorney, original debt charged off 3+ years ago).
I ask because I'm interested in an entry level cashback card as I look to get rid of my subprime cards. "milestone" is first on the chopping block as they have no way to increase your credit limit ever (in writing on their website).
fico score aside, I keep getting emails to apply for the paypal cashback card of course that's a synchrony product. will the fact I burned them but later paid be an automatic reject?
I'm not as gung-ho on Capital one but it's the same situation as them.
TLDR; fico score aside is it an automatic reject if I recently finished paying off charge offs and collections with cap 1 and synch?
thanks!
US Bank likes me, Cash Plus approved
Thanks to everyone who responded to my earlier thread on USB Cash Plus vs. Paypal CB. I was going to apply for one of those two this spring, but the supreme court recently changed sales tax laws. Now online retailers would have to take sales tax. I made my spring application for the B&H Payboo store card since it would rebate that sales tax. Now fast foward to this November. I was feeling I should just go ahead and go for the US Bank Cash Plus. I got the 7-10 message like many others, but didn't panic. They were probably manually reviewing it. And I got the approval e-mail four days later! Pretty sweet. My starting limit is a nice $4300. Which beats my current Disco's $2500. I recently tried a Disco CLI, and they denied me. lol. But in any case, thank you US Bank. I am definitely going to hit up the utilities, and internet cashback categories. And I have no prior relationship with US Bank, so this is esepcially kind of nice! I will still use Disco for the rotating categories, but US Bank is going to get more business from me, and might start being my reporting card for AZEO.

AMEX success Safari Private Window
So I totally forgot to acknowledge that by using incognito mode (private window in safari), I did receive the 100,00 points offer on my Hilton Honors no AF card. It actually works. 😎 Big thanks to those that posted and suggested this trick... 😊
BCE 3x CLI success...
I received a CLI on my Amex Blue Cash Everyday... 😎 My previous limit was $2k and so I decided to try for the 3x and got it!!! My new CL is $6000 on that card. 😎
Another Discover CLI and DD success...
Wow, I am really loving Discover!!! 😎 I just got the card earlier this year in February. It started at $4k and has grow significantly!!! Moments ago... I just requested, yet another CLI and was approved for $1000... 😎 so of course, I called for a DD and successfully received an additional $500 for a total CLI of $1500. My new CL with Discover is now $12,500!!! 😎 😎 😎
I Broke My Own Gardening Rule... With Success!
So I stepped out of the garden briefly... It all started with Apple Card. Knowing they do soft pulls, I kept trying every couple of weeks. I've seen my score go up from about 20-40 points over the last month and a half so I kept trying. I think I've had about 5 denials.
Then CapitalOne went ahead and upped my Spark card by $100. Pitiful. But I took it because on the business side I'm really under what I need and I've been asking them for a while.
Then suddenly last week I was approved for the Apple Card for a $1500 CL! So I took that as well because I've really been wanting this card.
Then I decided to do a pre-qual check for the major providers today and I was approved for a Cap1 Platinum Mastercard at $1000 CL for 18 months 0% APR. I already have this card in secured form. I put $100 and then they bumped it to $500 after 6 months of good record. I went ahead and took the new one to add the extra credit to my file and it's nice to know I have 0% APR if I ever want to take advantage of it for the next 18 months. I tried calling them and asking them to merge the two but they said they don't do that. So now I have two of the same cards which is kind of annoying but whatever.
So in the past 3 months I've seen my scores jump roughly 60-80 points and approved for 2 new cards and a credit limit increase when about 3 months ago I couldn't get a bone! I know I've been on a little spree, but I'm done and heading back to the garden to let my file build up with good info. Went from $2200 total CL (half of it secured) to $4800! Since I started my repair journey over 2 years ago I always make multiple payments and never carry a balance. I still have 2 baddies on my report and I anticipate paying one of those early 2020. Just hoping my DiscoverIt card graduates next month (7 month mark)! If it does that money will go instantly towards paying off those baddies. I don't have any expectations but my behavior has been good so hopefully Discover let's me have my money back, we'll see!
I'm a little dissapointed I didn't stick to my original garden date (in my sig) but it all worked out really well! Very proud of my journey so far!
5/5 on App Spree w/ thin & young profile!
So I spent the last month getting my accounts lined up to get the most out of my scores and the last 6 going all in to build a relationship with Navy Federal. I'm pumped especially with my work with Navy Federal, it paid off and I'm ecstatic about it!
I'll share as many data points as I can, I hope it helps other people building their credit for the first time too!

I went with Navy first. I think these approvals are the most important because of how much work I put into them.
I opened a checking/savings account in Febuary and have been using them very heavy for everything I do since. Both DW and I have our pays direct deposited into a joint account.
I also opened a Shared Pledge Loan and paid it down to < 8.9% in March, then opened an nRewards Secured CC for $200 in May, which is my youngest account and just turned 6 mos old.
All that is important, but I also have been putting $1,200 to $1,600 a month on spend on the nRewards Secured CC and PIF, only once reporting a balance of a few dollars and only once spending less than 1k in charges (the 1st month I had the card). That's a lot of swipes and payments.
Applied for the Visa Signature Flagship Rewards, I liked the SUB and I will PC before the AF probably.
Was approved for 10k instantly!
I was incredibly nervous, because this one I really wanted! It's nice to have a rewards card I can get some real use out of now!
Next I went for the CLOC and I requested $15k, really not sure what would happen now because I felt like I was pushing my luck. But if anyone was going to give it to me, it'd be Navy.
Got told it'd take 1 to 3 hours before I'd get a response, got one the next day with a counter offer of $500 @ 13.9%. I took it because it's the best APR they'd give on it and I know it'll grow with more time with NFCU!
Discover:
I did Discover next and went for the Discover it Credit Card because was pre-approved via their SP pre-approval page and you get a 0% intro APR for 14 months on purchases. More importantly, it'll grow and didn't have a AF.
I really liked the intro APR for 14 months. I have a few expenses coming up due to a recent move but with having the Flagship CC, I don't see me using my Discover it Credit Card except for the few categories it beats my Flagship.
Since I don't anticipate using it, I'm going to make some of those purchases with my Discover and let the balance sit month to month while making payments a bit more than the minimum. Will absolutely PIF before 14 months is up, I just wanna not have to use the card but still look appealing enough to get CLIs.
Capital One:
1.)
I went through Capital One's pre-qualify page to see what was available and they offered their SavorOne CC with the exact same thing Discover did in regards 0% intro APR for 14 months on purchases!
You can earn a one-time $150 cash bonus once you spend $500 on purchases within the first 3 months, so will put a balance on it and get that SUB and also do the very exact same thing with this one too, pay a little more than minimum payments month to month to manufacture what seems like use to work on CLIs until just before the intro APR expires, then PIF.
2.)
Lastly I requested a CLI on my bucketed Capital One Quicksilver, got a $100 to bring it up to $600 CLI.
Ending the Saturday 5/5 if you want to count the CLI ;-)
PENFED CLI to $20K!
Last CLI was 2 months ago. Decided to try again, since my EQ score bumped up a little. Approved! Went from $10k to $20K...Im happy with this limit. Pulled EQ 715. Have been with them almost 3 yrs now, with savings, PLOC, and a PL.
TBOM/ATLS/CURAE Approval
Welllllllll fudge.....*sighs* so I took my son to the doctor got an expensive bill (of course) tried to set up online payment plan and it said NO CREDIT CHECK required.....Ok awesome this won't affect my garden and I'll put how much I can pay a month etc.....it says Congratulations we can assist you with 2k towards your Medical Bill....Ok GREAT so I set up that payment plan and a few weeks later..................ALERT! New Account has been detected on your CR Experian.....TBOM/ATLS/CURAE for 2k ............WTH so I got a Medical Credit Card I guess......but it told me no Check needed or required and it wouldn't affect my score ...........IYAAAAAAAAAAAA.....does this mean I have to start my Garden over?! Please say no LOLOLOLOL because I really wasn't trying to app for a card or account just set up payment plan for a larger medical bill....(My son is a-ok everyone no worries) he is just really young and I had to take him to the ER since regular doctor was closed...he had a double ear infection/upper resporatory infection and small fever but he is doing a lot better now Gotta love that Daycare ...sighs.........has anyone here had experience with them I tried looking them up on the Forums here but all I get is Curve instead of Curae lol.
