Yep! She is so exicited and finally have her OWN AmEx BCE!!!!
It hasn't been even a year yet since she started her rebuild from 3 collections and 1 repo which I helped her pay all these off (repo was settled for less thou'). I then had her app for her first CC last April 2015: Capital One Platium for $300 which was increased to $500 over the summer. Then she got Barclay Rewards MC last October (I think) for $900.
I always check our Credit Krama to make sure her reports are still good. She noticed that her chance of AmEx blue is very good for the first time I told her CK doesn't do accurate with offers. She mentioned she got AmEx mailing offers (regular charge card) in the last couple weeks and in her gut she would be approved. I hastily clicked that button, filled out information and so on.
After clicking "Submit Application"... (she loves my face when I "cringed" on how long it takes since I told her the longer they process online the less chance of approval
BOOM! She was APPROVED!!!!! My jaw was on the floor and said what the *bleep*!!!! while she jumped for joy and screamed "I finally got AmEx"!!!! (whle our dogs think we're crazy!) LOL!!!!
It is $2,000 credit limit, she wanted me in her card as additional card which I did I thougt it would be impossible due to my recent BK7 discharged 6/2015 but it went thru OK!!!! She now have 3 cards for good FICO scoring (She's in high 600's I believe 690's). I can say "I also finally got Amex too via her account!" Haha 0% till February 2017 too! No AF for her card and any additonal cards too!!!!
Now I need your help...
First: I understand from here people said to request 3X CLI ONCE getting a card. How exactly should we approch that? Via online? or calling?
Secondly: What are my chance of my own AmEx in the future since I'm AU on hers? Correct if I'm wrong, wait 5 years post D/C? (I'm not worrying trying too hard to getinto AmEx since I'm happy being AU on hers anyway...just wondering)
Third: Any other advices, suggestions for her (and/or me) in regards to her brand spankin' new AmEx BCE? (Besides making payments on time, don't go over limit, blah blah LOL)
