Wow, I'm completely shocked. I was just sitting here minding my own business when a notification popped up on my phone from Discover. It said, " Thanks for your loyalty. We've increased your credit line." I've had my Discover for 13 months now, and I've asked for a Cli twice I believe. They always offered $200, which I always rejected. That being said, I wasn't expecting much when I logged in to check how much they gave me.
When I applied for my Discover in July 2019, I was carrying a BT, but I thought high household income and fico score(about 780) may persuade them to start me higher. It didn't lol. They gave me $5100, which sucked, but I made the best of it to maximize my cash back match the first year. My statement balance for the entire year has hovered around $3500 each month as I've taken advantage of the 0% offer. I can't believe I've carried about 79% of my credit limit for the last year, and then they turn around and give me a $5k cli during this time of financial uncertainty. No complaints from me though!
