Cap One Walmart Master Card CLI Denial
Surprise Alliant 15k approval!!!!!!!!!!!!
So I reached out to the community a few days ago about advice on Alliant CU Inwas really impressed with there auto loan rates. I bit the bullet and Joined the credit union and applied for an auto loan. The next day Inwas denied do to Inquiry's as we no I had some issues in the past just blindly applying. Spoke with Member services and they said pull is good for 45 days So I said what the hell and took a visa platinum application. It went pending approval and asked for POI I uploaded W2 and Pay stubs today I got an email that a decision has been made! Drum roll! Approved 15k 13.24% I accepted the terms and didn't need a balance transfer. But after I completed all that the application disappeared so hoping it's a true approval! Stats Way to many inquiries but just a few in last 6 months they pulled Transunion Fico 9 at a 716 which surprise me cus I thought I was in the higher 600s. Thank you to all the members who helped me reach the decision to Join Alliant!

US Bank Cash+ Visa Sig Approval (Recon)
Applied two weeks ago and got the 7-10 day message. Called the UW line and found out I was denied via automated line.
The next day I called and talked to a CSR, asked if they needed any more info or clarification for approval. She looked up my app, said unless she is missing something the auto system probably flagged on something random and sent it uo for manual UW.
Fast forward after the weekend, called the automated line, found out I was approved but no more info. Four days later I get a welcome email.

A little low in the SL, not sure if I should call recon again. Will be one of my lower SL in the last few years. I know they are more conservative.
Original denial letter stated 8 reasons for denial. So something was off I'm sure as they did not match my profile. Ex. "Too high of utilization across trade lines" and I'm at 8% PIF monthly and use AZEO.
Completes my cards for the year unless I go for another Amex. Currently BCP and Chase Trifecta in the wallet so this will fill any gaps.
PenFed Gold Visa Approval
While I haven't been a member long, and shortly thereafter I app'd and received their Power Cash Rewards with a $15,000 SL, I figured I was good. In the last 2 weeks, I continue to get marketing for this Gold Card and a PLOC. Not needing a PLOC and not sure if they would issue a new card so soon to when my 1st card with them was approved, I was skeptical. I had also read a few posts where people had received approvals and then that flipped to denial...adding to my skepticism.
Last week, got another marketing message and decided I was in good enough shape to try it out. Didn't get instant approval...took about a week for them to process everything and got this notification! Excited for another $15,000 SL at their lowest rate of 7.49%

Approved discover it
Hello all! I closed on my house on Friday and decided to take a swing at one last card before I garden for quite some time and chose the discover it card for the categories that seem to compliment those of my freedom and the cash back match at the end of the year. We plan on buying many things in store and online for the new home so we figured why not! I got approved for $1500 with a 691 Ex , 705 TU and 685 EQ which I was very happy about!
I definitely am excited to garden and see this card grow! Especially since my freedom card does not seem to be growing without requesting a cli and I am way over 5/24 right now so requesting one seems like a waste so having a category card that can grow through sp increases will be nice!
also there was no income verification request! I verified through a rep and they pushed it through for an approval immediately and said I am good to go!
Bestbuy Visa CLI
Last CLI was in Dec 2019. I had purchased some electronics for Xmas gifts with 0% APR promo for 18 months. I paid off the balance 2 days ago and decided to go for a CLI online which prompted me to call. Called and asked if they can increase the limit from 7K to 15K. They verified address, annual income, housing info and was approved. I don't mind that HP at all with the approved CLI amount.
Overall utilization is 10%. FICO scores 715 EX, 718 EQ, 720 TU
Thank you to this community!
Capital One Venture Approval
Applied at 95k income. Approved for 5k S/L. Last time I applied at actual income 105k they called me requesting verification. Which I have, but didn't want to follow up on, but my savings and checking with the bank should be more than sufficient to comfort. Credit 800+ . excited for 50k points and hoping they have exciting new travel insurance after the freebird acquisition.
Another PedFed approval
Joined just over a year ago and applied for Platinum Rewards was approved at $10K. Have not given the card much use but saw all of the new approvals so applied on a Sunday for the PCR card. I got an immediate message for conditional approval and would receive communication by email or text for additional information.
I waited 6 days and not hearing anything I sent a secure message. About 3 hours later I recieved an email reply apologizing the the delay and that they showed the card was approved. 30 Seconds later I got the text $20,000 @ 15.99 with a button for "I'm ready to Sign".
Got the card in the mail 5 days later

PNC Points
I've banked with PNC for just over a year. Gave up on BofA after 20 years and moved on. App's for the Points Visa Signature on Sunday and it went to pending. I got a call at 8:45 this morning was an unknown (844) number. Introduced as underwriter from PNC and asked if I had a few minutes to verify information. I was expecting financial information, but no. She asked me to verify my zip code and said she was sending a text to my phone with a code and that she would hold while I received it. I gave her the code and she asked me to verify my mailing address for the card. Said I was approved and would recieve the card in 5-7 days.
About a minute later I got an email from applications@pnc with approval. $20,000 @ 14.99% 50,000 points after $750 spend. Of course these points are worth @$125. Thought the verfication process was odd as I bank with them, have been on current job over 7 years and have lived in my home for 20+ years.
Even though I bank with them I haven't really had a need to contact them for anything but could not believe the really low mobile banking deposit limit when I first started with them. I deposit expense reimbursement checks and had to use my USAA checking account for the first 6 months. Now the daily limit is $10K. Be warned if you are switching banks and are used to high mobile deposit limits.
I believe they used Equifax but haven't recieved score notification yet. 14 inquiries.
Apple card(Goldman Sachs) & BestBuy(Citibank) CLI!!!!
Apple card is 1yr old and this is my 2nd CLI. $500 ea.
I sent a text thru the app, they responded instantly and requested my income.
I got a decision about an hour later. NO HP
BestBuy Visa is over 2yrs old. This is also my 2nd CLI.
I've been denied over and over because they insist on a HP.
They pulled EQ 731 Inq 3 <6mo. util 9%
Penfed Platinum rewards approval, Power cash rewards CLI
Great afternoon FICO fam
Platinum rewards approval, $7500 SL, I also went for a CLI on my power rewards visa, it went from $3500 to $7500. Definitely happy with the 4k increase. My FICO 9 Equifax according to penfed is 755, my overall utilization is 11%. Also I'm a member of the 100k club🤯🤯😂 it took a while to finally cross over the 100k mark but I enjoyed the journey. I definitely laying low for a while and will definitely be closing some cards that ain't growing. I appreciate all of you on this site, you all have been a great help with your advice. Thank you FICO Fam😃
Approved -BofA CashRewards $24k
Hi,
I've been an AU on my aunt and uncle's BofA Cash rewards card for the past several months. Due to the recent passing of my 101 year old uncle I was able to apply as a co-borrower on the account. As many of you know, BofA is one of few financial institutions that still allow co-borrowers on a cc.
I was excited about this card because there is a 38 year 100% on time payment history w/ $24k credit limit.
I've been working on my credit and prepping for October 2021 when I expect to have an entirely clean file. I also would like it to be thick. I'm not sure what happen, but I'll let you know.
Right now my reports aren't factoring in the age of this AU card. My hope is once approved it'll age my file. This may not help right now since I'm on a dirty scorecard but next year when I'm clean, I'm hoping it will. Will report back mid /late September when it should update.
Also, it was a HP and they used TU. Currently my oldest revolving is 8 years old; AAoA 6 years; AooA 12y 3m;
I'm interested in seeing if there's a change with the addition of this 38 year old beauty
AMEX PLATINUM APPROVED!
Recently I was approved for the BCE last week .Once I got that instant approval, I wanted to roll the dice and see if I could get approved for the Platinum. Pulled the trigger and automatically got the 14 day message. I was bummed at first, because every 14 day message I have received from either captial one or discover was an ultimate denial.
So at this point I didnt think I would be approved. I called the recon line two days later to see if there was any udpate and the agent stated that they forwarded my applicationt to the Executive department for a expedited process.
Fast forward to today, I figured I might as well check up on my application. I spoke with the Agent to see if there was some verification or proof of income that they needed that might be holding back the application. She said she would look to see if they could give me a decision today. As soon as she came back on the line she stated " I am happy to inform you that your application for the Amex Platinum was approved! I was shocked at first and I couldnt believe that I finally got approved for it. It has been a goal to get this card and utilize it for travel and rewards. Again I wouldnt be where Im at in my credit card and credit journey without all the amazing people in this community!
Got my BCE card today and the credit score that was on the paper listed me at 693. Income is around 70K. Cheers.
NFCU Trifecta COMPLETE!! Flagship APPROVED $21,300
Feeling real accomplished today!
I had no intention of applying for any credit cards when I woke up this morning, but it just got put on my spirit about half way through the day lol. My plan was to wait until the end of the year or even early next year to apply to the Flagship card (bc I already got the Cash Rewards and the More Rewards THIS YEAR). I'd been trying to stay out of this forum to resist temptation but soon as I peak in...
SEE WHAT HAPPENS LOL.
I recently purchased a new vehicle for my job which I set up my autopay through Navy Fed earlier today and this is what made me look in here today. I saw someone asking about a SUB for the Flagship which lead me to the main site and I saw the prequalification button and figured "Why Not". Upon seeing that I "pre-qualified" for all of the cards, I decided not to wait and just pull the trigger. [Also, during my vehicle search I applied for an auto loan through Navy Fed and was pre-qualified for about $42,000. I ultimately did not go with them bc the interest rate was unbelievable. I include this to say that my mindset was if they could pre-approve me for that much, then they probably had a couple dollars for me on the CC side. Why not give it a try..even though auto loans inquiries go through Equifax].
I've been racking up cards this year but only had 6 inquiries on my Transunion [This makes 7.I have one falling off this month].
I applied on my phone to see that I was instantly approved to $21,300!!! I'm so hyped about this. The Navy Fed process had been flawless. I'm looking to build with them long term.
-1/15/20- Cash Rewards Approved $7,800
-4/20/20- Cash Rewards CLI to $15,800
More Rewards Approved $25,000
-8/14/20- Auto Inquiry
-8/31/20- Flagship Rewards Approved $21,300
$62,100 in credit built with them in 9 months!
Please accept me into the garden!
Disco IT CLI
Title says it all. Requested online, +1.5K. DD was not successful, first time I've gotten a Disco rep so unknowledgable; didn't even want to make an effort to check their system. But, a win is a win! On a related note, tried Citi for my DC and the denial stated "you have paid a low portion of your lifetime charges on this account". Fancy "No soup for you" lol
Amex Hilton Honors approval - after some finagling
I'm currently facing some moving expenses and decided that I could use some extra CL to cover things and pad my utilization a bit. My first target was an NFCU card, because of their awesome interest rates. Unfortunately I was denied a Flagship card, though perhaps I should have been less ambitious. A couple of days later I got a flyer in the mail with a Hilton Honors card with a nice sign up bonus - 0% APR for 12 months and 100K reward points. I went to Amex's website and ran their prequal tool, which said "NOPE!" to the HH card.
I thought about that for a couple of days, and then decided to take the direct approach. I made a $1300 payment on my Amex BCE and waited for the payment to post. I tried the prequal tool again, and this time got a pre-approval. At this point I knew my odds of getting the card were actually good. But as I went back to the main Amex webpage I saw an invitation to apply for the HH Surpass card. I debated that for a moment, but found the 0% APR more appealing. So I went ahead and applied for the (basic) HH card and was approved with a $9400 SL. The only fly in the ointment is the APR - 24%. But I get a year of 0%, so it should be all OK.
A few data points to consider: utilization was at about 14% when I applied, with ~US$35K in total CL. My DTI (if I remember correctly) is about 11/22, FICO 8 scores were between 700 and 725 when I was approved. The only negative(s) on my credit report are several late payments over 2 years ago on my car note (none over 30 days.) I already had an Amex Blue Cash Everyday with a $15K SL.
Anyone think I should've sacrificed 0% APR for a year to go for the Surpass?
Joining the PenFed PCR club :) Approved for $17.5K
Applied on 8/21. Get the request for income verification on 8/23. Sent in two years of the tax return on 8/23. Approved today. Yay!
I suspect the income verification has to do with DTI (sitting at 40% on a bunch of store cards with zero financings) or they wonder why I have high DTI with high income to make sure I have not exaggerated the income.
Affinity FCU Cash Rewards
I don't normally post my approvals but given the dearth of data on this CU, I decided to add my info to help.
Location: NY
SL: $25,000
APR: UPDATE: 12.50%
Income: low 6 figures
FICO 08: EX 810, TU 836
Inquiries: They pulled EX which had 1 scorable inquiry.
New accounts: 2 new in the past 12 months, the most recent being 3 months ago
No negatives and low DTI. I'd paid off my car loan but the reports had not reflected that yet. The only balance I am carrying is at 0% APR under $12,000.
They requested 2 recent paystubs.
Process could have completed sooner but the email requesting the paystubs was sent to my Spam box and I didn't realized it until almost a week later. It took about 2-3 days since submitting the paystubs when the loan application got finalized. I am currently awaiting the card in the mail.
They did not ask me what CL I wanted. I wish they did because I only wanted $5000!
UPDATE: I found another e-mail from them in my Spam box. My APR is 12.50%.
